Spending time in retirement is something that most people worry about when they approach the retirement age. However, this shouldn’t be the case for you to starting worrying about your retirement phase. For many years, you have the sole purpose of working to be able to afford to live, shop, maintain our homes, etc. However, retirement often removes this purpose and it can be easy to feel lost.
As such it’s essential to remember that the aim should be for everyone to enjoy retirement whilst staying in the best possible shape both mentally and physically. Someone would ask how can I stay mentally and physically fit while I am just sitting and watching TV? Remember, I am retired. Retirement is not end of living.
Spending time in retirement should be one of the happiest phases in your life, as this is the last segment of your life cycle. The days ahead are fewer than the days behind you.
Remember that each one of us is given by God a certain number of days or a amount of time to live. You cannot borrow time from someone or even from your dearest person. You cannot also give or donate your time to someone else. It’s up to each induvial to decide how you can spend time in retirement.
Spending time in retirement is your choice, each day when you wake up in the morning it’s you who gets to decide what to do. You have the opportunity to decide how you will utilise your precious time. Utilise your precious time wisely as there are no second chances.
It’s important to take into account that once that present time is gone there is no turning the clock back to reclaim your time. You cannot say please God give me back my time which I wasted doing nothing.
I always keep on thinking, just imagine how lovely it would be to say to your loved ones that I have done everything I wanted to do as such I have not regrets leaving this world. You should be able proud to say “Thank You God” I am departing this earth, I have done everything I wanted to do. I have been able to use that time you gave me wisely and for the benefit of everyone who mattered in my life.
Exercises – As we grow older it’s very easy to find a major reason that I am too old for exercises. However, this should not be the case with you. One thing you should remember there’s nothing stopping you from doing any exercise as such age shouldn’t be an excuse.
The main issue should be how do you approach and not what exercise you can do. You can do a range of exercises as long as you approach them the right way. It may be wise to join some of the local gym clubs or buy a home gym kit if you can.
Improve your Life
Retirement is an opportunity to make a change and take action that will help improve your life. Remember life is full of opportunities, as such make a point of taking actions, whenever you see an opportunity that you think can make an impact and a positive change, in your life or your loved ones you should be willing to take that chance.
However, it is sometimes very unfortunate, due to human nature, though we’re being presented with many opportunities on a daily basis, we always fail or we are too doubtful to accept and take action. Once we accept these opportunities our way forward would be to relax and enjoy the rewards of taking action.
